Having been in this business for 40 + years I shouldn’t really be surprised at the rate at which cosmetic and skin care companies continue to bring out the next ‘Wonder’ product before we have had time to experience the last one!

However I am still using my BB cream, I have just purchased a CC cream and have recently been informed that there is a S.M.A.R.T CC Cream coming this summer, that is called ‘Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Complexion Corrector’ this has left me breathless trying to keep up with trialling each product and evaluating its effect.

If you were considering using a CC Cream then maybe it would be worth waiting a month or two until this new product appears. To help you make up your mind I will try and explain what exactly it is!

SMART stands for Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology

It has been formulated to protect the skin from external aggressors in other words the environment, mainly pollution and UV exposure. At the moment there are products on the market that have an SPF and also contains antioxidants and they claim to fight damage caused by ‘external aggressors.’

The USP, this company claims, in this new product is that it responds to triggers (UV and pollution) by releasing active ingredients only when the skin requires them!

A very clever cream indeed!

The Origins Cream claims to have the following effects with the ingredients it contains:

• Green Tea a potent antioxidant to block free radical damage
• Vitamins C and E to protect the skin from pollution and ozone
• Time released salicylic acid and chestnut extract for protection
• Plant coated mineral pigments to correct uneven skin tones

Their philosophy is to create high performance natural skin care products using potent plants, organic ingredients and 100% natural essential oils and this product seems to tick all those boxes.

On its release it will be available in travel retail locations around the world, hopefully it will be available in all UK retail outlets soon.
